KABUKI BATTLE - Sephora vs H&M

Hey everyone,
we know the quality of makeup products is really important. But we can't forget that the "tools" - as in brushes - which are important as well ;)
You don't have to be a makeup pro to know that perfect working brush can do basically all work for you and even change the "final effect" on your face. Not to mention saving your time :) So today we've got for you a little battle of our favourites from KABUKI department - Sephora vs H&M
Ready?

Size
Sephora: smaller, more precise, works perfectly not only with powder but also with bronzer or a blusher, a true multitasker
H&M: bigger, "takes" more product from the packaging,
great brush for powder application

Shape
Sephora: "dome-shaped", more even on top than H&M's
H&M: rounded top, easily takes powder and spreads it evenly on your face

Hair
Sephora: natural goat hair, fluffy, really soft, nicer than H&M's, (it's easy to get a sheer coat of powder because the hairs are so soft)
H&M: doesn't hurt your skin, quite soft for us but might be a little stiff for some of you, definitely not "the softest brush ever" but does decent job

Hint:  You can easily built up coverage with natural finish using both of them

Hair loss
Sephora: they don't
H&M: only single hair

Design
Sephora + H&M: both of them look really cute with the rest of our brushes (as you can tell :P), we love this simple, modern design

Price
Sephora: $24
H&M: $7,95

Final grade
Sephora: 4.5/5
H&M: 4/5

That's all for today. We hope you did enjoy our little battle. Let us know what are your Kabuki favs :)

SATURDAY TIP #5 - Get ready faster

Hey everyone,

Guess what? It's Saturday again, which means two of us giving you tips :)
Last time we showed you what kind of eyeshadows will look the best with your eye color (check it out right *here* if you missed it).
Today we want to share with you our fun idea how to get ready faster.

We know, a warm bed is the best place to be, especially right now (we don't know where you live but in Poland it's cold, like really cold). But let's be serious, we can't spend our entire life there, right? ;) So when we finally decide to get up we're left with extremely small amount of time to get ready. Here comes our tip.
Instead of looking every 2 minutes on the clock make your very own MORNING PLAYLIST* (all songs together should take as long as long you want to get ready). Try to add it to your everyday routine. Music will help you get ready faster and you will know song by song how much time you have left. Choose your favourite songs so your morning will be even nicer. As simple as that.
*HINT: Our favourite way to do it is to use Spotify - all you need is WiFi
Not our picture, found it on Tumblr
That's all for today. Do you have your own techniqes to get ready faster? Let us know :)

Makeup & Skincare Haul

Hey everyone,

It has been a busy month! But we still managed to go shopping and found some bits and pieces that we want to share with you. It isn't one of those "I spent all of my money" hauls, only some pieces I either repurchased or wanted to try out. Let's get right into it :)

First thing I bought a couple of days ago are Revlon lipstics in Mauve it Over and Pink in the Afternoon. I have never tried any of Revlon lipstics and I've heard many people raving about them so I decided to give them a try. Also, some people say there are some great dupes for MAC lipstics so that was another great reason why to purchase them. Since I am a lipstick-o-holic I bought another lipstick today from the brand Catrice. It's fall and recently I've been feeling more daring with my lip makeup so I decided that what I need is a bright red matte lipstick and I found the perfect color in the newest addition to Catrice makeup - MATTador

Another thing that I got is a new powder. Usually I buy Rimmel's Stay Matte in Transparent but for whatever reason I am not able to find it in any of the drugstores (please don't tell me it was discontinued). Since every girl needs a bit of powder and I'm almost out of the one I have I had to buy something so I went to Inglot and got this beauty - transparent pressed powder in 302.
Last thing from the makeup department that I got is "an old friend" - Maybelline's Colossal Volum' Express mascara in Smoky Eyes. I'm not gonna say anything about this product cause we already wrote about it in our "Maybelline Faves" post (*here*).
Let's jump onto skincare. Two weeks I posted my skincare routine (*here*) where I wrote about my favourite face gel from a polish brand called Ziaja, so naturally I had to repurchase it, because it is the best for my skin.
You all probably know I may be a little obssesed with Ziaja products (but seriously they are that good), so I got two of their fairly new products - cleansing mask for normal, oily to combination skin that hopefully will clear my pores (fingers crossed!). Another thing that I got is olive cleansing water with vitamin C and what I love about this is that it's in a spray version similarly to all the thermal waters.

That would be all for my little haul, hope you guys liked it! If you want us to make any reviews of the products mentioned (or in general) just post a comment down below!

SATURDAY TIP # 4

Hey everyone,

First of all, we are sorry there was no post on Thursday, but this week was CRAZY busy. Also, we know today is SATURDAY, which means - another tip! As the week is not over for us and we still have tons of stuff to do, today's post won't be very long, but we still hope you'll enjoy it :) Today we want to give you a quick tip what eyeshadows will look the best with your eye color. We all want our eyes to pop and there is no better way than to contrast them with a shadow on our lid. What colors you should look for when you have...?

BLUE EYES

The best shadows for blue eyes are earthy tones (browns, taupes). You can also try a rosy pink or orange, which will contrast beautifully with blue (this sounds really scary, don't worry I have blue eyes and those colors really make them pop).

BROWN EYES

Lucky you! Brown eyes will look good with almost anything, but if you really want to make them pop, try using green or pink eyeshadow.

GREEN EYES

If you want to make your eyes greener look for a purple shade, but it's for a more 'dramatic' look. For neutral, everyday  makeup try taupe, warm golden colors.

GRAY EYES

You can use the same colors as with blue or green eyes.

That would be all for today, we hope you liked this little tip. Let us know if you tried any of them and what do you think of that post "series"?

SATURDAY TIP # 3

Hey everyone,

It's Saturday again!! How the time flies, right? Since the week has passed, it's time for another tip for you guys. You know how we all spend hours in drugstores and high end stores looking on different lipstick shades and blushes because we want to match to our skin tone? We all do that. In fact if you want to avoid that what you should be looking at is... your inner wrist. Yes your wrist! Don't be so surprised, it will all make sense in a second.

The trick to know what undertones your skin has is in fact to check what are the colors of your veins. They indicate if you are warm toned, cool toned or neutral. To check it you should stand in front of the window and look on your veins in daylight to get the right color. Now, if your veins are mostly blue it means you are cool toned, green veins mean you are warm toned and mixed mean you are neutral (lucky you!).
Here's a little cheat sheet :)

Second way to check it is with silver and gold. Take a piece of gold and silver and stand in front of a mirror in natural light. If silver suits you best it means you are most likely cool toned and if gold looks better than you are warm toned.

That is all for today's tip, we hope you liked it!! :) Let us if you know any other tricks how to check your skin tones?

BATTLE OF THE BLUSHES - Wibo vs. NYX

Hey everyone,
it's not a secret that we are addicted to blushes. Like seriously, our collection is waaaay to big :P But hey, there is no such thing as too many makeup products, right?
So today we want to share with you 2 great products. We've bought them totally separately and it came out that they are great dupes. Ladies and gentlemen, let us introduce to you:

       - Wibo Blush with silk and vit. E (in nr 1)
       - NYX in Pinched

From the left: Wibo, NYX

As you can probably tell the packaging is quite similar- plastic on both blushes, which make them handy and travel-friendly. But let's have a closer look, because we all know, looks aren't everything ;)

Again from the left: Wibo, NYX

Wibo starts out relatively sheer and natural, but you can easily built it up to the intensity you see in the photo (it took us about 4 swipes), so it's perfect for those who don't feel like experts yet. This vibrant pink color looks really natural on your cheeks, even though it might seem scary on the very beginning. What's more it does have peachy undertone - they match almost every skin tone.
NYX - we don't have to recommend this one. Like all NYX blushes, the quality is really great as well as the pigmentation, so guys, be careful. Tiny bit is enough ;) The color of Pinched is fabulous, intense pink with cooler undertones. In the pan, there are few random shimmer particles, but in our opinion they don't translate onto the skin.

Wibo and NYX blend easily. Both powders are really smooth and finely-milled (love it!) and they don't "dries out" during the day.Wibo stays on your skin for 5-8h, while NYX all day long. And what is more important, they DON'T BREAK US OUT.

That's all for today. We hope you did enjoy our little battle of the blushes:)

SATURDAY TIP # 2

Hey everyone,

A week has passed and we have another Saturday, which means another tip for you guys! We all love to paint nails right? But sometimes our favourite polish gets all gummy and unusable even though we just got it. We get frustrated because we spent money and the product doesn't work as it should. No need to worry, we have some tricks how you can save your nail polish.

The first thing you can do is… simply put the polish into hot water. Sounds unbelievable? Trust us, it works. The effect may not be long lasting but you can still paint your nails for the night out.
The second tip we have for you is as simple as the first one. All you need for this is only nail polish remover. What you need to do is pour a little bit into your "gummy" polish, shake it up for a second and voila your polish is as good as new!
We hope you liked our small tricks and tell us if you tried it yourselves!

Lipsticks for Fall

Hey everyone,

Are we the only ones obssesed with a dark lip for the fall? Probably not. So today we want to share with you some of our absolute faves in the lipstick department.

Number one on our list is a Maybelline Mystic Mauve (250) Color Sensational. It's a nice moisturizer and it stays on your lips all day long. What's more it's in a nice, cold-pink tone.
Hint: It's a perfect product to use when you try to achive one of the hottest makeup - Kylie Jenner inspired look.
Maybelline Mystic Mauve (250) Color Sensational

Ok, now let's take a look at some red lipsticks. Number 19 from Kate Moss's collection for Rimmel is a really pretty redish brown color which is perfect for everyday wear (especially if you don't feel comfortable wearing dark lips on a everyday basis). We love Kate Moss collection, her lipsticks are creamy, they last a decent amount of hours and most importantly they don't dry out your lips.
Number 19 Rimmel

Next is a Red Velvet from Oriflame. This really deep, half matte color will be perfect not only on everyday use but also when you plan a night out. But you need to be careful, especially wearing white clothes, because it has a tendency to smudge. However the color is georgeous, so we believe it's still worth trying.

Red Velvet Oriflame

There is no way we would not include any of the MAC lipsticks on our list. So there actually will be two. The first one is the famous REBEL, a gorgeous purple-ish shade that you can build up however you want.
Rebel MAC

TIP: If you are on a budget we recommend checking out Inglot lipticks, number 293 is a fantastic dupe for Rebel.

If you are more brave in your makeup and like to wear something much darker, then there is one word we have for you - DIVA. This MAC's lipstick is incredible. It's a beautiful dark, wine red shade and it's a matte, but it really doesn't dry your lips. We don't know how is it possible, but we love it. So definitely go check it out in the stores.
Diva MAC

That was our last proposition, we hope you liked our faves. Maybe you have your own favourites?

SATURDAY TIP # 1

Hey everyone,
Don't throw away your old mascara brush, just use it! And we are going to show you how.
First of all, clean your old mascara brush so there is no product left. When you have this clean brush you can use it to separate your clumpy lashes. There is no need to buy professional brushes, cause you can achieve the same effect with clean mascara brush.
Another way to use an old brush is to use it together with hairspray as a "brow gel". How? Just spray a little bit of hairspray on your brush and go through your brows and voila!
